Commercial Design in a Home Unit We have been following the Kohl-Friedrich line since it was introduced about three years ago. The motor size, compressor size and extra features are what we expect to see in a commercial HVAC unit such as a PTAC. This is not your typical retail air conditioner. Some of the extra features with this model include time-of-day scheduling, different front grill colors (optional), connection for an external thermostat, and Wi-Fi connection (optional). The front grill kits, mounting kit and Wi-Fi interface must be purchased separately. The mounting kit is available from Amazon. The Wi-Fi adapter is available from Friedrich. Installing the Wi-Fi adapter requires an MS Windows computer with a USB port, software from Friedrich and a Wi-Fi access point. Installing the Wi-Fi adapter is not Plug-n-Play.
