New A/C for 380 sq ft workshop This unit replaced a failed, one-year old Frigidaire, "thru the wall" A/C. The Frigidaire unit had internal rust problems and had already lost its ability to blow cool air. I bought the Friedrich based on the manufacturers reputation and the reviews of others. The Friedrich has been in service for just a few days and the only thing established at this point is that it is quiet. Too early to tell about the long haul; but it is much heavier (it took two of us to lift it into position) than the Frigidaire, leading me to believe that superior materials have been used in manufacture of this new unit and that exposure to the Florida Panhandle heat and high humidity won't cause it to fail prematurely.
