Great a/c After going through 3 other a/c's this summer (a frigidaire that arrived broken, another that was the wrong voltage and an LG from a few years ago that finally bit it) I spent the extra $ and went with a fredrich. Couldn't be happier, or for that matter, cooler. The unit takes about an hour to install, you have to slide the chassis off and mount the unit to the window (be sure to follow the instructions!) what you see when you slide the unit out from its housing is what makes this ac different. Solid commercial grade fan and compressor, a vent to take in outside air, totally solid construction. After installing and turning it on the unit cooled off my place in about 15 min (about 550 sq. ft.) and it keeps the temp consistent. It's not the quietest unit I've heard but it's acceptable and I can easily watch a movie w the unit running in the same room. Finally, this ac looks really nice. Love that the controls are hidden under a flip up panel. Totally modern and clean...
